US President Donald Trump said Hungary can buy oil and gas from Russia for one year. He gave this special permission to Hungary’s leader, Viktor Orban. Trump said it is hard for Hungary to get oil and gas from other places because Hungary does not have a sea.

Hungary is happy about this decision. The Hungarian government said the US will not punish Hungary for buying Russian oil and gas. Hungary will also buy some natural gas from the US. Many countries in Europe do not like this decision because they do not want Hungary to be close to Russia.

Trump and Orban also talked about the war in Ukraine. They both want peace in Ukraine. Orban said only Hungary and the US really want peace. Trump said Europe should respect Orban because he is strong on immigration.
