US President Donald Trump said no to a plan from Israel to kill Iran’s top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Trump told Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, that killing Khamenei was not a good idea. Trump did not talk about this in public.

Israel and Iran are fighting. Israel attacked places in Iran. Iran and Israel are both attacking each other. Trump said the US will help Israel, but he did not say if he asked Israel to stop.

Talks between the US and Iran were going to happen, but they are now cancelled. Iran said it will not talk while Israel is still attacking. Trump said the US did not attack Iran, but he warned Iran not to attack the US.
