The President of Brazil is Lula. The President of the United States is Trump. Trump said he wants to put a big tax on things from Brazil. Lula said if the United States puts a tax on Brazil, Brazil will put a tax on the United States too.

Trump is not happy because Brazil is having a trial for the old president, Bolsonaro. Trump likes Bolsonaro and says the trial is not fair. Lula says Brazil is a free country and can make its own rules. Lula also says the United States does not lose money with Brazil, but makes money.

The United States and Brazil buy and sell many things to each other. If they put big taxes, it can be bad for both countries. Lula and Trump do not agree, and they both want to protect their countries.
