Obama attacks Trump before US midterm elections

Former US President Barack Obama spoke at Democrat events in Ohio and Michigan on Saturday. He asked people to vote against President Donald Trump’s Republican Party. Obama said Trump had made prices higher and had caused problems at home and in Iran. He also supported Democrat candidates in Ohio.

Trump spoke to his supporters in Georgia on the same day. He praised his rules on trade and people coming into the US. He said high oil and fuel prices would soon fall. He also promised to give $5,000 to every US adult if Republicans win both parts of Congress.

The midterm elections will take place on 3 November. Voters will choose members of Congress, which makes US laws. The party with more seats can help or stop Trump’s plans for the rest of his time as president. Early voting has started, and Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, voted in Florida on Saturday.
