A large fire has killed and hurt people at a military base in Alberta, Canada. The fire happened on Saturday at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright. The government has not said how many people died or were hurt.

Strong winds made the fire spread fast. It moved past the fences around the base. About 690 military workers and 300 other workers are usually at the base. The base is an important place where soldiers train with real weapons.

Canada’s military and local teams are working together to control the fire. They are also trying to find its cause. Local leaders asked people to stay away and leave roads open for emergency vehicles. Saskatchewan and British Columbia offered help to Alberta.
