US officers arrested Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan in the United States on Saturday. UK officials asked the US to send them to the UK for court. The brothers are citizens of both the UK and the US.
UK lawyers have brought more charges against the brothers. Andrew faces seven new rape charges and other charges about sex trafficking and sexual pictures of children. Tristan faces two rape charges, one sexual assault charge, and three sex trafficking charges. The police say the crimes happened from July 2010 to August 2017 and involved seven people.
The brothers say they did nothing wrong. In May 2025, UK lawyers said the brothers already faced 21 charges for other alleged crimes from 2012 to 2016. They also face a police investigation in Romania, where they live. A US court may now decide if the US will send them to the UK for a trial.
