Hamas said it is ready to give back 10 living Israeli hostages and 18 dead hostages if Israel lets some Palestinian prisoners go free. Hamas also wants Israel to stop fighting, leave Gaza, and let more help come to the people in Gaza. The United States and Israel do not agree with all of these requests.

The United States made a plan for a 60-day stop in fighting. Israel said yes to this plan, but Hamas did not say yes or no. Hamas wants a full stop to the war, but Israel only wants a short stop. Both sides want different things, so it is hard to make a deal.

Many people in Gaza are in danger and need help. The fighting started after Hamas attacked Israel in October 2023. Many people have died in Gaza since then. Both sides are under a lot of pressure, but they cannot agree on how to stop the war.
