Three men attacked a family in their home in Toronto, Canada. The attack happened at about 3:44 in the morning on Thursday. The home is in the Bridle Path, a rich area with many large houses. Police said the men wore masks and entered through a back door. They had guns and a hammer.

The victims were Derek Morton, the head of a real estate company, and his family. The men shot Morton and his two adult daughters. They also hit Morton, his wife, and both daughters with a hammer. The four family members are 75, 64, 28, and 26 years old. Two of them are still in hospital.

The attackers asked for valuable things and then left in a car. Police do not know if they took anything. They think the three men are in their 20s and chose the home because it is in a rich area. Police are looking for them and will send more officers to the area. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said people must feel safe in their homes.
