A man finds his family's lost history in a suitcase

Antony found a small suitcase under his father’s bed after his father died. Inside the suitcase, he found old photos, money, and papers. He learned that his father was born in Germany and was part of a rich Jewish family called the Eisners.

Antony learned that his family lost everything because of the Nazis in Germany. The Nazis took their business, houses, and art. Antony’s family had to leave Germany and go to England to be safe. Many family members did not survive, but Antony’s father and grandparents escaped.

Antony tried to find out what happened to his family’s things. He found some of the lost art in museums. Some museums want to give the art back to Antony’s family. Antony says it is important to remember his family and their story. Now, a new baby in the family has the name Eisner, so the family name lives on.
