But prices in the UK will also go up more than in other G7 countries. People in the UK will pay more for things like energy and bills. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says this will not last long, and prices will go down next year.

Some people are happy about the UK’s strong economy. Other people worry because life is getting more expensive. The IMF also says that problems in world trade and high prices for technology stocks can make things harder for many countries.
