US President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky met in the White House. They wanted to show they are friendly, even if they do not agree on everything. Zelensky wore a suit, and Trump said he liked it. Zelensky said “thank you” many times. They did not want to look angry in front of the cameras.

The leaders talked about how to help Ukraine. Zelensky said Ukraine needs help to stop the war. He wants the US to give Ukraine money and weapons. He also said the US can buy drones from Ukraine. Zelensky said he is ready to meet with Russian President Putin. He wants Trump to join the meeting if it happens.

The leaders did not talk much about land that Russia took from Ukraine. Zelensky showed Trump a map and said Russia has only a small part of Ukraine. Zelensky was happy after the meeting. He wants the US and Europe to help Ukraine find peace. For now, nothing big has changed, but Ukraine has more time to look for help.
