A young girl from London becomes a chess champion

Bodhana Sivanandan is a 10-year-old girl from London. She is very good at chess. She started playing chess when she was five years old. She learned chess at home with her family during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bodhana won a big chess game in 2025. She beat a very good chess player called a grandmaster. She is the youngest girl to do this. She also got a special chess title called "woman international master." This is a very high title for women in chess.

Bodhana’s family is very happy for her. Her father says no one in their family played chess before. Bodhana wants to be a grandmaster one day. Many people think she can do it because she is very smart and works hard.
