Ed Sheeran says sorry after Macklemore tour problem

Ed Sheeran spoke to fans at a solo concert in Philadelphia on Saturday. He said he was sorry for his mistakes. The problem began after rapper Macklemore spoke in support of Palestinians at a show in early September. The tour team then removed Macklemore from the tour. Sheeran said his concert promoters made this choice, not him.

Sheeran also spoke about Israel and Gaza. He said the Hamas attack in Israel on 7 October 2023 was terrible. He also said the deaths and damage in Gaza were wrong and too great. He said many people and children had died. He wants to learn more and find ways to help people there.

Several singers left the tour after the problem. Fewer people bought tickets, and some tickets for the Philadelphia show cost only $32. Sheeran said he did not know if the tour would continue, but he returned for his fans. His next concerts are planned across North and South America.
