Jacob Coxon, a 27-year-old AI researcher, left the US company Anthropic. He said AI is growing too fast. He said many workers at AI companies are very afraid about what may happen. He believes dangerous AI could harm or even kill people in the next few years.

Anthropic leader Dario Amodei wants AI companies to slow their work. OpenAI leader Sam Altman and Elon Musk also support this idea. They want governments and other groups to check new AI systems. Coxon said China must also join this plan. Without China, countries may race to build stronger AI.

Anthropic said AI can bring great help but also serious danger. The company said it tests its AI systems and uses strong safety rules. Some other technology leaders do not agree with Coxon. Nvidia leader Jensen Huang has said AI will not end humanity. AI companies may now face more calls for new laws, safety checks, and slower work.
