Jenitar Na’amoana, 34, gave birth to four baby girls in Brisbane, Australia. The babies were born on 14 July, after 28 weeks and four days of pregnancy. Doctors helped them come out during an operation. The girls came from one egg that divided into four babies.

The pregnancy was very dangerous because all four babies had the same place for food and air inside their mother. Dr Alexa Bendall said this kind of birth may happen in only one in 15 million pregnancies. Jenitar stayed in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital from week 25, so doctors could watch her and the babies closely.

The girls are named Emily, Harriet, Catherine and Alexa. They are doing very well, but they will stay in the hospital until they are bigger. Jenitar and her husband, Jortham, already have four children. They are collecting money to buy a van with at least 10 seats for their large family.
