There was a lot of rain in north-west England. Many streets had water on them. Some cars could not move because of the water. In some places, people needed help to get out of their cars.

The rain was very strong for more than 20 hours. The water went into some homes and roads. People were worried because the water was very high. Some people used pumps and sandbags to stop the water.

After some time, the rain stopped and the water went down. The weather office said the danger was over. People were happy that the water was gone, but they were still careful.
