A Russian drone chased a man in Kherson, in southern Ukraine. The man was selling vegetables near his van. He ran around the van, but the drone followed him. The drone then hit him and blew up. He lived, but he had many small metal pieces in his body. He also hurt his head.

The man is Yuriy, a 52-year-old street seller. He said his wife ran away when they heard the drone. The drone then followed him. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia used the drone to hurt a person who was not a soldier. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha asked other countries to speak against the attack.

Kherson is only a few miles from the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. Russian soldiers often use drones against people there. A 2025 United Nations report said Russian drones killed and hurt people in the area many times. Russia began its full war against Ukraine in February 2022. Russia says it does not attack people who are not soldiers.
